Celebration lunch at Sapa Magnolia!

The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog acknowledges that there are great safety accomplishments being achieved throughout our industry. If you know of a positive story involving safety in our industry please contact us. We love to report these positive stories. Here is a recent story:

Sapa Extrusions of Magnolia, Arkansas in the United States celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2015, five years without a recordable injury.

Sapa employees were treated to grilled hamburgers and safety t-shirts designed by the employee safety committee.

We want to congratulate all of the employees at Sapa Extrusions Magnolia. The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog is so very proud of your accomplishment. The APSB has been honored to visit many Sapa facilities around the globe. On each and every visit one can feel that you entered a special place, a special company. No matter if it was Sapa Cressona in Pennsylvania in the USA, or Sapa Tibshelf in the UK or Sapa in Itu, Brazil and all the locations in between. One can see the importance that management places upon safety. In addition through our conversations the workers acknowledge how they were aware that the plant manager and ehs manager actually cared for their well-being.

Commendations have to be given to the plant management, and support from Sapa corporate for this achievement.

Keep up the good work!
