"Crews had to drain the truck before moving it....."


The over the road transport of molten metal occurs countless times without incident. But, incidents do occur. Here is a recent incident that luckily no one was injured:

A crash caused the right two lanes of southbound I-69 to close near 116th Street in Fishers Tuesday, March 13, 2018 around noon.

INDOT told drivers to expect delays in the area of State Road 37 at the 207 mile marker.

No injuries were reported.

Officials say a truck involved was carrying liquid aluminum. Crews had to drain the truck before moving it.

The lanes were reopened by 3 p.m.

We believe no one was injured in this incident. This incident could have been much worse. There have been incidents where over the road transport wrecks have caused injury and death.
