The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog
posts incidents from around the world. The posts come only from a wide range of
media sources (internet, radio, newspaper, etc.). The APSB does not post
incidents heard through the grapevine. Translating the media sources is
sometimes difficult resulting in discrepancies and omissions. Nevertheless, a
workers death is easily translated no matter the language. Here is a recent
incident in Asia that emphasizes the continued need for hot temperature safety
training and proper personal protection equipment. The following media story
minus the company name, location lacks some basic information that maybe the
readers can provide.

family, friends, and coworkers.
The APSB debated
whether or not to post this incident. What occurred is not clear. What is clear
is that an aluminium worker was killed on the job. Possibly from a hot liquid.
What type of hot liquid?
The APSB will
update this post when further information is available.
