Here is another incident highlighting the importance of acknowledging what is
outside our factory walls and gates.
In a
town in Western Europe, an industrial building burned. According to police, two
people were seriously injured. Damage amounting to millions of euros was
incurred.
Several
buildings of a company complex as well as a three-storey residential building
were affected. According to initial police investigations, the fire is likely
to have broken out around 2:15 p.m. in a storage area of a company. In the
further course of the flames spread to an aluminium foundry located next to it.
As a result, several gas cylinders and solvents exploded. Subsequently, the
fire spread to an adjacent residential building.
The fire also spread to a neighboring aluminum foundry , exploding several gas cylinders and solvents. In addition, the fire spread to a three-storey residential building. Millions in damage had been incurred.
The extinguishing work continued in the evening. The cause of the fire is unclear, said a spokesman on request. The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating.
We pray that the injured people recover fully from their injuries. It appears that the foundry was attached (right next) to a building that housed apartments. The news media reports state that the fire spread to the aluminum foundry igniting “gas cylinders and solvents”. No doubt made the fire larger. We hope that all the premises that were damaged can be rebuilt.
