On a daily basis material is shipped into our plants. As well as finished products are shipped out on trucks with no safety issues. Occasionally, a trucker will improperly secure a load and incident occurs. This results in the load coming off the trailer. Here is a recent incident emphasizing the importance of proper load securement
A
man was killed in a wreck on (roadway) in (town name omitted) Thursday morning.
County
Sheriff’s deputies say a southbound tractor-trailer driven by 30-year-old (location
omitted) was hauling rolls of aluminum, when one came off the truck, and
collided with a northbound car driven by 29-year-old (name omitted).
(Deceased name omitted) was pronounced dead at the scene by the County Coroner’s Office. (Roadway) was closed from (roadway names omitted) for several hours as the crash was investigated.
We offer our sincere prayers for the deceased motorist and their family and friends. We do not know the cause of the accident. But, from earlier reports from law enforcement the aluminium roll came off the trailer and struck a passing motorist. There is no indication that the passing motorist caused this accident.
