"falls to his death at refinery...."

Working at height is known hazard in our industry. Through continuous training and engineering control our industry mitigates this hazard. Still incidents occur. Here is a recent incident highlighting this deadly hazard.

A 47-year-old man has died following a workplace incident at a refinery near (location omitted).

Emergency services were called to the refinery shortly before 4am, where the man was found critically injured. Despite immediate first aid, he died at the scene.

We offer our sincere condolences to the deceased worker’s family, friends, and coworkers. Another news media article stated the worker fell from height. When more information is provided on the specifics of this incident, we will update the post.

We acknowledge that this post does not provide much if any information. We do hope that this tragedy is still used in workplaces to emphasize the importance of safety protocols while working at height.
