Small act of generosity will have long lasting effect.

Over the past number of years there has been a shift in our industry to promote safety outside our factory gates. Initially some in our industry thought it was a radical idea for an aluminium company to not only care about your safety within their gates but outside too. More and more companies realized the importance of promoting safety at and away from work. The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog has loves to post stories where our companies are reaching out to the nearby community. Here is a recent story:

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the leading industrial companies in the Kingdom, recently donated a forklift to the National Institute of Industrial Training (NIIT), Bahrain towards the training of Bahraini students.

This donation is one of the many initiatives adopted by Alba to contribute towards the society at large and to the training and development of the Bahraini youth in specific.

Speaking about this donation, Alba’s Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali said:

"As a Bahraini corporate citizen, we have a responsibility to develop Bahraini youths in terms of providing hands-on training as well as development opportunities.

By partnering with Training Institutes such as National Institute of Industrial Training, Bahrain, we endeavour to train the Bahraini youth as well as develop them to take better opportunities in their careers.”

NIIT, Bahrain is one of the premier institute’s in the Kingdom, which provides internationally recognised vocational qualifications, as well as hands-on skills training to raise the career levels of the workforce in Bahrain.

The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog commends ALBA for donating a forklift to this training institute. Keep up the good work!
