We have stated many
times of our pride for our industry. Here is a story we can all be proud of.
South Lebanon
Township police have released the names of the individuals involved in one day
during the week of April 16, 2017 three-vehicle crash on Route 419 at State
Drive in which a man was pinned under a truck.
The man was
listed in fair condition Thursday at Hershey Medical Center. The injured man was
the passenger in a Ford 250 pickup truck driven that collided about 1:20 p.m.
with a Jeep. The truck, hauling a trailer with farm equipment, was headed west
on Route 419 when it struck the passenger's side of the eastbound Jeep after it
turned into its path at the intersection, police said.
After striking
the Jeep, the truck rolled, pinning the man underneath for about 15 minutes,
until he was freed with the help of a forklift from nearby Boose Aluminum Inc.,
police said.
The force of the
collision also caused the Jeep to crash into a Chevrolet Cobalt police said. The
drivers were the only ones wearing a seat belt, were not injured, police said. Charges
against the driver are pending, police said.
It is our belief
that safety does not end once you leave our factory gates. Many of our
companies support the local surrounding communities in many ways. Most times
this support goes unnoticed. In this incident one can only imagine what would
have resulted if the aluminium company did not come to assistance when requested.
We commend Boose Aluminum for assisting in rescuing the injured man.
Keep up the good
work!
