"Boiler (furnace) explodes in factory, 5 workers injured..."

In many parts of the world terminology of machinery may have different words. Most common is the use of “boiler” for furnace. Here is a recent incident of an explosion from a furnace. Highlighting the hazards associated with furnaces or boilers in an aluminium plant.

Five workers were injured in a boiler explosion at a factory in (location omitted) village. The workers were taken to a private hospital in (location name omitted) for treatment where they are undergoing treatment. Aluminum work is done in the factory where high level aluminum copying is brought. At the same time, the boiler exploded while working on aluminum, injuring five laborers working there. During the accident, there was a loud explosion in the factory, after which there was a stir on the spot.

We pray that all injured workers recover fully from their injuries. Videos of the aftermath show workers who clothes were burned from their bodies. We assume the workers were not wearing fire resistant fabric. We have asked our contacts in this country for further information and will update this post as new information is available.
