Machinery
entrapment is an obvious yet hidden hazard in many workplaces. Hidden hazard in
so much that many workplaces fail to perform machinery guarding audits that
would mitigate most of the incidents. Here is a recent incident highlighting the
hazard of machinery entrapment.
A worker suffered serious injuries after getting his arm stuck in a machine, one afternoon (in April 2025), in a factory in (name omitted), in the municipality of (name omitted).
The accident happened at the (name omitted) aluminum (extrusion) company, in circumstances yet to be determined, and the alert was given a few minutes before 17:00.
For rescue, the (local) Firefighters and the (local) Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle (VMER) were mobilized.
The (pertinent government safety organization) registered the occurrence.
