Cooling Tower Catches On Fire...


Here is a fire that occurred during the week April 7, 2013. Little information is available.
A fire has caused an estimated $1 million damage to a cooling tower at Alcoa's Kwinana refinery in Australia. The tower was undergoing planned maintenance when the fire broke out. Alcoa staff extinguished the blaze and nobody was injured. It's believed there will not be any impact to production. An investigation is underway as to the cause and the relevant authorities have been advised.
