The daily
use of pressure vessels in our workplace is commonplace. As with many
commonplace tasks/procedures overtime workplaces fail to see the hazard
associated with pressure vessels.
A
worker was injured in the fire at the aluminum factory in (location name
omitted) district. In the fire, part of the factory became unusable.
According to the news of (media company name omitted), a fire
broke out in the aluminum factory in (name omitted) as a result of the
explosion of the pressure tank. Upon notification of the situation, Emergency
Service, fire and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters at the scene brought the fire under control after
about an hour of work.
Medical teams took a worker whose name could not be learned and
who had burns on various parts of his body, to (nearby) Hospital after the
first intervention at the scene.
An investigation into the fire has been started.
We pray that the injured worker recovers fully from their injuries. We have reached out to the extrusion company to find out exactly what happened. We pray that the company does respond to our email. If they do we will update this post.
