Working from height commonly occurs in our workplaces. Safety protocols for workers performing tasks or procedures from height are sometimes forgotten by the worker and maybe even the workplace. Here is a recent incident highlighting the hazard of working at heights.
An engineer who fell from a height in an aluminum factory operating in (town, in Asia) was injured.
An engineer who fell from a height in an aluminum factory operating in (town name omitted) was injured.
According to the information received, (worker name omitted). While trying to turn off the water valve, he lost his balance from a height of 4 meters and fell to the ground. Colleagues who saw the incident immediately reported the situation to (EMS). Emergency Service teams, who came to the scene, took the injured person to a local Hospital after their first response.
While it was learned that the injured engineer's leg was broken, the police teams launched an investigation into the incident.
We pray that the injured worker recovers fully and is not hindered with any longterm disability. The worker was indeed lucky. Sadly we have reported on numerous fatalities from falling at less height.
