"man fell about eight metres from the roof ...."

Working on a roofs is a hazard that many plants take for granted. The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog reports on numerous incidents every year. Sadly, here is another incident highlighting the hazard.

A 46-year-old man died one morning during the month of September 2024 when he fell from the roof of the (aluminium company) factory in (town name omitted), in the province of (location name omitted) in the latest in a spate of fatal workplace accidents in (country omitted). According to an initial reconstruction, the man fell about eight metres from the roof of the aluminium company. Police and rescue services, helicopter and ambulance services arrived on the scene. However, the medical staff could only confirm his death.
