"worker was crushed under a heavy machine..."

The hazards associated with roll out tables in extrustion plants are sometimes discounted or downplayed by workers. Here is an incident from last year highlighting the hazard of roll out tables.

"It was reported at the scene that the worker was crushed under a heavy machine while working in an aluminum production plant," a medic said. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe injuries he sustained. Rescue crews worked to retrieve his body."

One morning (July 2025), a worker from the town of (name omitted) was killed as a result of a work accident that occurred in the industrial zone "(name omitted)" near the city of (name omitted).

A spokesman for the (local union) reported that "a worker, in his forties, was killed in a work accident that occurred on (name omitted) industrial zone."

Paramedic (of the local ems service) said, "It was reported at the scene that the worker was crushed under a heavy machine while he was working in an aluminum factory. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe injuries he sustained. Rescue crews worked to retrieve his body."

The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, as well as notifying representatives of the (pertinent governmental safety organization) as appropriate.

We offer our sincere condolences to the deceased workers, family, friends and coworkers. From the photo it appears the worker’s body (blurred out by the press) is near the roll out table.

We will reach out to the local government and inquire if an investigative report was made after the incident. We will update this post as more information is available.

The Aluminium Plant Safety Blog has posted numerous incidents involving roll out tables. Depending on the age of the machinery, the roll out table is very dangerous in terms of injuries and fatalities.
