Here is a recent incident of a fire. For us it highlights a lot of hidden hazards.
When the firefighters
arrived at the scene, they saw black smoke rising from the warehouse, and
urgently laid out water lines to sprinkle water, and the fire was extinguished
for more than 1 hour.
The (local) City Fire
Department said that the police received a report at 5:25 p.m. today, pointing
out that a fire broke out in a factory (location name omitted), and the fire
department immediately dispatched 15 vehicles and 31 firefighters to rescue it.
In addition to stacking a
large number of aluminum metal blocks and aluminum alloy ingots, there are also
many metal scraps left after processing and manufacturing, all of which are
piled up in the factory area.
A fire broke out at a metal
processing and manufacturing plant in (location name omitted), but fortunately,
there were no large number of flammable chemical raw materials in the factory,
which did not allow the fire to spread further.
We are
thankful that no one was injured in this fire. The news media article does not
state what was the cause nor what was the combustible that was burning.
The photo shows a stack of 14 low profile sows. Sows should never be stacked that tall. We have reported on numerous incidents of tall stacks of sows falling over and killing workers.
In addition, in the photo there is stacks of scrap/raw materials. Thankfully that material did not ignite.
Please
