We pray for the deceased worker’s family, friends, and coworkers. The news media articles lack the details of what happened. We will reach out to our contacts in that country and update in the future with any information.

UPDATE: We are saddened to report that a total of 4 workers were killed immediately by the explosion and/or have succumbed due to their injuries.

Sadly, from experience, explosions occur in boilers for several reasons including but not limited to contamination and/or water.

The Aluminum Association in the USA is a great organization that for the 60+ years has led research studies and published useful educational documents.

Here are two that every workplace that processes molten metal should possess. The two documents should be the foundation on your molten metal safety program.
