"profiles...on a shelf fell..."

The storage of finished aluminium profiles prior to shipping is commonplace. There are a variety of storage systems used for storing profiles. Some are automated, while others are manual. This following incident appears to involve a manual storage system.

A workplace accident was recorded in the last few hours in a company located at (city omitted), where a worker was injured when he was trapped by the fall of aluminum profiles.

The event occurred at the (aluminium extrusion) firm, where several aluminum profiles that were on a shelf fell and imprisoned the worker, preventing him from leaving by his own means and causing him various injuries.

A crew of Volunteer Firefighters went to the scene, who carried out the rescue tasks to free the trapped person. Subsequently, personnel from the medical emergency service carried out the corresponding assessment and arranged for her to be transferred to the hospital to receive care and treatment.

We pray that the injured worker recovers fully from their injuries. Another news article stated that the worker’s leg(s) were injured when the stacks of profiles fell and pinned the worker.
