Unfortunately, explosions in our industry are not uncommon. This year several plants have exploded, and workers have been injured and killed. Here is a recent incident highlighting the hazards of explosions in our plants.
According to (a local news media) correspondent,
an explosion in the foundry tank of an aluminum factory in the (name omitted) industrial
town of (name omitted) caused the sound of an explosion to be heard in the
area.
The spokesman for the (city) Emergency Department,
commented on the incident in the town of (name omitted): "The incident was
reported to the (city) Emergency Center at 12:56 p.m., and immediately seven
ambulances, an ambulance bus, and a command vehicle were dispatched to the
scene."
He added: "The commander of emergency
operations is also present at the scene of the accident and rescue measures are
underway."
The spokesman of the (city) Emergency Department,
stating that no deaths have been reported in the incident so far, said:
"The number of injured is small and the exact statistics will be announced
after the end of the rescue operation."
The spokesman for the (city) Emergency Department emphasized:
"There is no need to worry at the moment and the situation of the accident
is under control."
The incident has left 18 injured so far, 4 of whom
have been transferred to medical centers to continue the treatment process
after receiving basic medical services.
Following the intensity of the explosion, one of
the emergency bases in (name omitted) province, which was located near the
accident site, was also destroyed, but fortunately, none of the emergency
forces present at the base were harmed and the rescue operation continues
uninterrupted.
We pray that the workers recover fully their injuries. We assume that the plant had a molten metal into a pit that was not painted with Wise Chem resulting in the explosion.
