The movement of aluminium fines to/from a holding spot is a hazard that can result in fires and explosions. Here is a recent incident highlighting this hazard.

injured by the explosion of a tank containing aluminum powder in a company in (location
name omitted). It happened just before 3 p.m. The accident at work occurred in
an industrial settlement. According to the first reconstructions, the man - a
resident of (location name omitted)- was engaged in the operations of unloading
aluminum from a tanker truck when, for reasons still being ascertained, there
was an explosion. The alarm was immediately raised at 118 which sent an
ambulance and a medical car to the scene with medical personnel who rescued the
worker, taking him urgently to the (nearby hospital). According to the first
investigations, his life would not be in danger. The explosion caused the

other injuries were reported. The (local police), the local firefighters
intervened on the spot to secure the area and the staff of the (government safety
