" spark fell in the pile of aluminum dust..."

Housekeeping is a direct result of the company owner, plant manager, department manager. Here is a recent incident highlighting the need for good housekeeping.

Fire broke out in factory due to spark of aluminum plate cutting, fire brigade team brought under control

The fire broke out at around 10:28 am (one morning in February 20226) in the factory that manufactures aluminum sheets and pipes. Many employees were present in the factory at the time of the accident, who were evacuated. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. The fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

A fire broke out at the (name omitted) factory located in the industrial area of (location omitted) police station area on Tuesday morning. Initially, the factory workers tried to extinguish the fire but were unsuccessful. After this, he informed the fire department. Fire Chief said the accident took place during the ongoing work at the factory. The workers told the interrogation that the work of cutting the aluminum sheet was going on in the factory. During this time, the spark fell in the pile of aluminum dust lying nearby and caught fire.

The CFO said that the fire brigade team controlled the fire by pumping MFE. After this, cooling work was done for about an hour. No casualties have been reported in the incident. Fire fighting equipment and complete arrangements to deal with fire accidents in the factory have also been found in the investigation. Apart from this, the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and other arrangements taken from the fire department are being examined.

We are thankful no one was injured in this fire. In our opinion this fire would not have occurred if this workplace had good housekeeping practices.

We hope that the reader will take this post to heart and look at their workplace.
